FAQ

La Moneta Foundation is registered with the Australian Charities & Not-for-Profit Commission (ACNC).

For Australian citizens all donations to us over $2 are tax-deductible. International donors should seek advice regarding the tax status of any donations made.

Paypal Donations
If you donated via Paypal from our website you will have received a receipt for the donation directly from them to the email address you use for your PayPal account. Please ensure you check your junk email folders.

The Paypal receipt and your bank statement should be sufficient for most tax purposes.

The Australian Tax Office (ATO) advises that in most circumstances a tax deductible receipt is not required to claim a deduction for a donation to a charity with DGR (Deductible Gift Recipient) status. You are able to claim the deduction using your bank statement or internet banking copy of the transfer details, in most cases this is sufficient evidence of your donation for taxation purposes.

You can see this advice from the ATO here. Please note that La Moneta does have DGR status.

Donations via La Moneta website using Stripe (Credit Card payment)
If you have made a donation through our credit card payment system via Stripe, a tax deductible receipt is usually automatically generated by the system at the time of the transaction. This receipt will be sent to the email address you used. If you have received email confirmation you should retain this receipt for taxation purposes. If you did not receive a receipt please first check your junk email folder.
